Film Screening of Mugabe & The White African on Thursday, October 23, 2014
Please come out for the next installment of the International Film Series at 6:30 pm in the Wilder Pavilion (AAC165). The film will be introduced by Professor Joni Seager, Chair of the Department of Global Studies. The film chronicles the social justic work of Michael Campbell, one of only a few hundred white farmers left in Zimbabwe since President Robert Mugabe began his violent land seizure program in 2000. In 2008, Mike took the unprecedented step of challenging Mugabe before the South African Development Community international court, charging him and his government with racial discrimination and human rights violations.
