After obtaining his Ph.D., Adrien moved to the Boston area to work as a process development scientist for several biotech companies, including Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Johnson Matthey, and Cubist Pharmaceuticals. He used his project management and scientific skills to increase process efficiency, lower the cost of goods and reduce waste management costs. He also developed and patented commercial and chemical processes to produce, at industrial scale, drugs and new antibiotics, including Ceftolozan and Tazobactam, for sale in the US, Europe and Japan.
