Research Analyst Intern

Burning Glass seeks a Research Analyst Intern to support rapidly growing consulting and custom research services. The Research Analyst Intern will work directly with the applied research team, researching important issues in the labor market. Our public reports have been featured in national media outlets – such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Vox, and NPR – and provide insights across a range of functions, including workforce and economic development; career exploration and counseling; as well as job matching. The intern will also support client engagements, which have historically included identifying emerging sub-baccalaureate job opportunities for major foundations, investigating the viability of new degree programs for universities, and conducting recruiting analytics for Fortune 500 firms. The ideal candidate for this position will possess both quantitative and qualitative research skills, have a strong interest in pursuing a career in consulting or research, and be able to use data to highlight important job market trends. The intern will: *Support client engagements across a range of industries, including higher education, economic development and recruitment. *Analyze data to develop insights about emerging trends in the labor market. *Prepare data for public reports and media outreach efforts. *Check for data consistency and accuracy. *Write concise summaries of research results. *Perform literature reviews in the areas of education, skills and training. This is a paid part-time internship that will require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week. The internship will begin immediately and has the possibility to lead to a full-time position.
