Why did you decide to get involved with your reunion planning committee?

Gary Kelly [senior associate director, Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends] asked if I would be interested, and I jumped at the opportunity. I’m happy to give back to Bentley in any way possible. It’s funny: Gary knew me when I was 20 — he was our Student Government adviser at the time — and now here it is 20 years later and we’re back at it!

You made a gift this past year in support of the university’s general scholarship fund. What motivated you to give back?
I was very fortunate to have received a number of scholarships during my time at Bentley. Now I’m in a position to pay it forward — and proud to do so. I wish more alumni would realize that you just need to give a little to make a difference.

What’s it like to be an alumna on the West Coast?
Bentley’s Alumni Association is really on the move. I have lived in California for over 15 years, and for the first time in recent memory it is abundantly clear to me that Bentley is working hard to engage with alumni in the area. The Northern California alumni chapter is doing a great job bringing us together and helping Bentley make a name for itself out here on the West Coast.

Any chance your kids might make their way to school in Waltham one day?
I would be very proud and excited if either of my girls [Ava, 11, and Lily, 7] decided to attend Bentley.  I have to admit though, they are California girls through and through. I don't know if they would survive a winter in Boston — even with Bentley's heated sidewalks!
